SUZUKI GSXR750H
1992 - After a superb 3 years on the GSx1000 katana, it wasn't long before the Winter was setting in. The friend of mine mentioned before had sold his Gpz 750 Turbo & bought a crashed GSXR750J. After an excellent rebuild on his part, I was offered a test ride. I could not believe the lack of weight and superb handling of the GSXR and suddenly it dawns on you how far technology had come over the past few years. so some more re-thinking had to be done on my part. Once again the local grapevine had rumours of a GSXR750 for sale. A few calls later I was on my way to see one of the few bikes that I would class as a must have at least once in your lifetime. It didn't take many miles to know that it was essential to have my name on the owners document.
Up to that point this was the fastest & best handling bike I had owned & you realise that decent tyres, suspension & lack of weight combined in one package make for one of the best fun bikes of that era. The engine was very responsive & loved to be revved. whereas riding my bikes before you felt slightly guilty for taking it to the redline, this bike thrived on it & you felt you were doing it an injustice to use the bottom half of the rev range. the only complaint I had was because the engine was so rev happy, there was not a lot of torque lower down which led me onto my next bike...........the GSXR1100............
